Mini by Rolls Royce – Sublime.
This month, BMW group announced the collaboration between 2 of their brands: Rolls Royce and MINI. The presigious timeless car manufacturer revamp the trendy MINI. Of course BMW ordered the collaboration between the 2 brands to launch MINI Inspired by Goodwoob edition at Shanghai Motor show. See here the story of the MINI by Goodwood. A 1,000 units production for a very exclusive and luxury limited edition. This limited edition was created by Roll Royce ateliers based in Goodwood in England. At the head of this project : Alan Sheppard the Chief designer of Rolls Royce. As you may know, BMW group owns both MINI and Rolls Royce. I wonder why british people were not able to keep such treasures under British flag? Nevertheless, the German brand respected both histories and concerning Rolls Royce they still have their historical factory in Goodwood, England. So the collaboration between these 2 brands could be described as: “when british luxury meets cutting edge design”. So, the result is a beautiful hyper-luxury car. In details, the entire dashboard, center console and seats are finished in Rolls Cornsilk leather and the dash’s wood veneers come from Rolls. The Rolls-Royce typeface is also used on the instruments. Under the skin, the Goodwood gets the 1.6-litre, twin-scroll turbocharged, 181bhp Cooper S engine and either a six-speed manual or a six-speed auto ’box. Adaptive xenon lights and a Harman Kardon hi-fi are standard. Pure luxury…. the current plastics from the standard model are replaced by a Walnut Burr finish on the dashboard and doors, with fine-grade Corn Silk leather covering most surfaces. Only the top of the dash is contrasting – it’s trimmed in black hide. The detail extends to the typeface found on the speedo and rev counter, which matches that of the Phantom and Ghost models.

"Art Like You Know" Tatt Tuezday
We've all done things we aren't particularly proud of, like that mullet in the 80's, an eyebrow peircing in college, and maybe even an unsightly tattoo at the bottom of your back. We've found a gentleman whose lapse in judgement has resulted in one of the most unfortunate tattoo's any horological enthusiast will likely ever behold. If you find the act of wearing a diamond dialed Rolex mildly offensive, surely the sight of one permantently emblazoned on the wrist will put you over the edge. Adding insult to injury, the watch is not set to 10:10, but rather, in what is surely a coincidence, 4:20. Let's hope this unsightly inking is the result of a poorly placed bet. The Epitaph started as a humble cruiser but has somehow willed itself into the behemoth you see before you. Each Epitaph features a custom crafted wheel set that allows the ability to mount a total of 4 low profile tires. The seat, grips & frame inserts, also made from scratch, are fashioned with obsessively selected aged leather. Laser engraved Roman Numerals on the seat identify build number. New Face of Louis Vuitton
A 16-year-old who won her modelling contract in a competition has been announced as the new face of Louis Vuitton. Nyasha Matonhodze entered the modelling world just two years ago after winning the UK Elite Model Look competition in 2009. The student was scouted in the street in her Northamptonshire hometown by the model agency and invited down to London to take part in the contest. Nyasha: A 16-year-old who won her modeling contract in a competition has been announced as the new face of Louis Vuitton. The schoolgirl, who arrived for her first casting wearing her school uniform – experienced a meteoric rise through the echelons of the fashion industry, with an impressive debut season that saw her walking for shows including Louise Gray, Clements Ribeiro, Jonathan Saunders during London Fashion Week SS11 as well as Loewe, Emanuel Ungaro, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and Louis Vuitton in Paris. And now, the industry newcomer models couture clothes from Louis Vuitton’s latest collection in a slick advertising campaign art directed by the label’s creative head, Marc Jacobs and shot by world-renowned fashion photographer Stephen Meisel.
